EFFECT OF LEMON AROMATHERAPY IN PREGNANT WOMEN ON EMESIS GRAVIDARUM: A LITERATURE REVIEW

Introduction: Pregnancy is a physiological event for woman and in the first months of pregnancy, there feeling nausea vomiting (gravidarum emesis). Emesis complaints occur 60-80% primigravida 40-60% multigravida. gravidarum if not treated immediately can develop into hyperemesis result reduced fluids body, thus endangering health mother development fetus. The purpose this study to examine scientific articles which discuss lemon aromatherapy pregnant women reduce emesis gravidarum. Methods: method used literature review with data collection techniques using PubMed Scholar based on inclusion criteria, among others, intervention form giving aromatherapy, quasi-experiment or pre-experimental design method, Indonesian English, published within 10 years (2017-2022). Keywords when searching “Pregnancy” AND “Emesis Gravidarum” OR “Lemon Aromatherapy”. Results: There were 37 journal found, 9 that met criteria reviewed. results showed conducted, be seen has effect women. This will stimulate release beta-endorphin hormone production stimuli so reduced. Conclusions: provision given who experience mild moderate have an right way technique. Lemon 2-3 drops, dripped onto tissue cotton 5-10 minutes, 3 breaths. application expected applied family services as complementary therapy
